La Quinta Poppies
Iceland Poppies and pansies are commonly planted together in the Southern California desert. They are planted as densely as possible for a more lavish effect. I took this photograph in a private club called The Traditions. It’s one of the most oppulent venues in California. Each of the homeowners’ gardeners seem to be in a competition with each other for the most stunning results. You have to see it to understand the level of extravagance. Trust me they are not on a budget.
Dallas Arboretum
These tulips were photographed on a cold, wet spring day without the benefit of full blooms. Mother Nature disappointed us but the venue was impressive.
The Leaning Trees of Krause Springs
This 16″ x 20″ oil on canvas was inspired by a trip to a lagoon which is only about an hour from home. Texas has more water and lush scenery than I ever suspected before moving here.
Garden Time in Austin
